Nebraska Strikers is a Women’s Player Development Basketball team based out of Omaha, Nebraska founded January 1, 2014, in the WBCBL Organization

The Nebraska Strikers Women’s basketball team is part of the Women’s Blue-Chip Basketball League (WBCBL); which includes over 40 teams throughout the United States. This league has been modeled after the prestigious Women’s National Basketball League (WNBA), and may give many opportunities for players to be invited to the WNBA or secure a contract to play professionally overseas in the European League.

We are excited to be entering our 3rd season in this Premier Development League for women basketball players. The Nebraska Strikers finished their inaugural season with a 6-5 record. We were runner-up for the Midwest Region and had a remarkable run to finish 8th nationally out of a league of 46 teams.

The idea of forming a women’s team into the Premier Development League, is to give women who had finished their high school/college career, a chance to fulfill a childhood dream. We believe the Nebraska Strikers will give Omaha and surrounding communities an event filled with excitement and activities for everyone to enjoy as a family, as group of friends or individually.
